English Language
The current English curriculum at The ISF Academy adapted from the National English Curriculum of the United Kingdom, with reference to curriculum documents from California, United States; Ontario, Canada; New Sourth Wales, Australia; and Hong Kong. It is designed to enable students to master oral communication, reading comprehension, and writing skills at a level on par with native speakers. English language studies embody Western methods of teaching that challenge children to be inquisitive creative thinkers.
The ISF Academy INSIGHT
An example of creative teaching in action: students do a blind tasting of fruit to stimulate the use of descriptive adjectives in their writing. Others invent their own "For Sale" ads about an item of their choice. Students' self-confidence and respect for others develop as they have the freedom to create and analyze their own writing, and that of their peers.
