Campus and School Development

The ISF Academy's campus, opened in August 2007, is located in the tranquil, verdant setting of the Kong Sin Wan Tsuen Valley in Pokfulam, within the Island South district of Hong Kong Island. Built on a 13,152 sq. meter site, our campus has been carefully designed to reflect and reinforce our distinctive educational mission and approach. Key design features include:

  • Flexible learning cluster areas comprising modular teaching spaces formed around a common cluster area. All internal partitions are movable, allowing for a variation of activities in each cluster;
  • State-of-the-art Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems allowing for an entirely wireless campus and scalable deployment of new learning software programs; and
  • A warm and inviting atmosphere conducive to the pursuit of self-motivated academic excellence and the learning of Chinese culture, an ideal environment for our students to explore the world.

Our Existing Facilities

The campus is divided into two main buildings, the Primary Building and the Secondary Building. In addition to our classrooms and small-group teaching rooms, students from our Primary Division have the benefit of a state-of-the-art Library and Resource Center, a music room, a dance and drama room, a computer room, an arts and crafts room, a green corner, and a covered play area. In the Secondary Building, our Secondary students have access to subject-design (technology, computer, science, home management, dance and drama, music, and art) rooms, a library incorporating a broadcast suite and a function room, small group teaching rooms, counseling rooms, a multi-purpose area, a covered play area, and a green corner.

Facilities shared between the Primary and the Secondary Divisions include a gymnasium-cum-assembly hall, basketball courts, a rooftop playground with running track and garden, a dining hall, and conference rooms.

Campus Development

The ISF Academy is committed to continuous innovation and the provision of the best possible learning facilities for our students.  With this goal in mind, our in-house Project Manager is working closely with a dedicated team of specialist consultants - including Architects, Structural Engineers, Building Services Engineers, Landscape Architects, Traffic Engineers, Utilities Surveyors, Integrated Communication Technology and Acoustic Consultants, and Quantity Surveyors for the state-of-the-art design and management of our Phase II works. Phase IIA and Phase IIB Extension Works commenced in the summer of 2009 and upon completion in the summer of 2010 and 2011 respectively, our students will have a truly incredible facility.

Phase IIA is a two-storey addition on top of our existing Primary Building, that will provide ten new classrooms.

Phase IIB is a new seven-storey building that sits between the Primary and Secondary Building with the following accommodations:

  1. A 180-seat black box theatre with a dedicated pre-function area;
  2. Two art rooms;
  3. A music practice room;
  4. A multi purpose room;
  5. A junior science laboratory;
  6. An indoor gymnasium;
  7. A 500-seat dining hall; and
  8. 20 new classrooms.

Phase IIB will also permit the establishment of a university counseling centre at the Secondary Building.
