Learner-centered: small class size
The ISF Academy’s student-centered learning means that teaching is given in response to students’ strengths, interests, learning styles and needs. By so doing, students experience self-direction and the right to make choices, thus developing independence, confidence, and life-long love of learning. This approach features small yet diverse class sizes and a low teacher-student ratio for optimal teaching and learning.
The ISF Academy uses a flexible approach to grouping students into homerooms and study groups. Average class sizes for core subjects in primary school are 15 to 18. Middle School class sizes will not exceed 25. This allows for maximum interaction, appreciation of individuality and freedom for expression.
A child-centered approach respects individual talents and diversity.
In line with the commitment to learner-centered approach, The ISF Academy faculty are provided with continuous and substantial teacher professional development, so do the parents and other members of the learning community.
