Inquiry-based
The learning environment at The ISF Academy is inquiry-based. This means asking questions, taking risks, and not being afraid to make mistakes. Teaching is student-centered and teachers encourage students to take an active role. The ISF Academy students quickly develop their abilities of insight, deduction, analytical thinking, creativity, generalization and application. Our students learn how to learn, how to extrapolate knowledge in new situations and how to actively expand their knowledge.
The members of our learning community promote active learning where students retain knowledge by exploring and doing. Questions, encouragement, time for reflection as well as language and bi-cultural immersion programs help students integrate their understanding and emerge as lifelong learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and communicators with first language proficiency in Putonghua and English. |
