The Independent Schools Foundation Academy (The ISF Academy) is a non-profit, co-educational, private independent primary and secondary school founded in 2003 in Hong Kong.  This private school offers a bilingual Chinese Putonghua – English curriculum leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma accreditation upon graduation.

The ISF Academy emphasizes a holistic approach to education based on three principles:  Humanity, Respect and Responsibility.  We are committed to academic excellence in a caring, supportive and richly dynamic environment that respects children and honours childhood.
As a local ‘international school’, our aim is to develop graduates who will be able to achieve success in an ever competitive and changing world.

The Independent Schools Foundation Academy (The ISF Academy) has been conceived to celebrate these uniquely Hong Kong qualities.

The ISF Academy takes the best teaching methods in the world and applies them in the context of a modern Chinese community.  We aim to equip our students to lead successful lives of purpose whether in Greater China or beyond.

Since The ISF Academy opened its doors in August 2003, students, teachers, parents and the school’s management have worked together to provide a caring, supportive and richly dynamic learning environment that recognizes each student’s individual strengths. 

At our temporary premises in Wanchai and Causeway Bay, we currently have approximately 250 students from Grades 1 to 7.  We will be adding one grade level every year until completion of the International Baccalaureate program at the end of Grade 12.  Our permanent campus in Pokfulam near Cyberport, where we will be able to accommodate 1,800 students spanning Grades 1 to 12, will be completed in time for the 2007/08 school year.
