Campus and School Development
OUR CAMPUS
The ISF Academy's campus opened in August 2007, in the tranquil, verdant setting of the Kong Sin Wan Tsuen Valley in Pokfulam, within the Island South District of Hong Kong Island. Built on a 13,152 sq. meter site, our campus has been carefully designed to reflect and reinforce our distinctive educational mission and approach. Key design features include:
- Flexible learning cluster areas comprising modular teaching spaces formed around a common cluster area;
- Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems allowing for an entirely wireless campus; and
- A warm and inviting atmosphere conducive to the pursuit of self-motivated academic excellence and the learning of Chinese culture, an ideal environment for our students to explore the world.
OUR FACILITIES
The ISF Academy is committed to continuous innovation and the provision of the best possible learning facilities for our students. We uphold this commitment with the completion in the summer of 2011 of our new seven-storey building which significantly expands our visual and performing arts, sports, and science facilities. The completion of this building also allows us to provide more play area and a larger dining space for our students.
In addition to our classrooms and small-group teaching rooms, students from our Primary Division have the benefit of a state-of-the-art Library and Resource Center; a music room; a dance and drama room; a computer room; a junior science laboratory; an arts and crafts room; a green corner; a covered play area; and a rooftop play area with primary play equipment.
Our Secondary students have access to subject-design (design technology, computer science, home management, dance and drama, music, and art) rooms; a library incorporating a function room; small group teaching rooms; a senior study center which is adjacent to the University Counseling and Careers Center; a multi-purpose area; a DP study center; a green corner and a covered play area.
Facilities shared between the Primary and the Secondary Divisions include a gymnasium-cum-assembly hall; a second gymnasium, four basketball courts; a horizontal climbing wall; a vertical climbing wall; a 180-seat black-box theatre and a dedicated pre-function area; art rooms; large and small music practice rooms; a rooftop playground with running track; conference rooms and a 500-seat dining hall.
